We're a boutique vineyard, our 1 hectare planting has 2700 vines. We prefer quality over quantity.
Are Cascades Bay wines environmentally friendly?
We use natural farming practices.
We don't use any nasty chemicals (not even weed-killer), we use organically approved sprays, we hand weed and mow, while our Babydoll Southdown sheep help to keep our grass down and provide natural manure. Our free range chickens and guinea fowl help with pest control and weeding too!
