Our Story
The Start
Our passion is farming wine… well, we don’t actually grow the bottles, but we do put a lot of love and care into the growing the grapes that go into the bottles.
It took us more than 10 years of searching and dreaming before we found our pocket of paradise in Koonya on the Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania. We purchased the property in 2014 and spent two years researching and planning before planting our first plot of Pinot Noir in 2016, transforming the once cleared paddocks into a beautiful and healthy vineyard. We take great pride in our vineyard, which is situated in one of the most pristine and unspoiled parts of Tasmania.

The Philosophy
From our viewpoint, cultivating includes all the challenges and joys that come from preparing our soil to planting vines and then nurturing them and helping them to grow to their maximum potential (not dissimilar to our children really). For us, wine is not just a product; it's a passion that we share. We believe that every bottle of wine should tell a story, and that story should be one of care, attention, and dedication. That's why we strive to create the perfect environment for our grapes to grow, using sustainable and eco-friendly practices to preserve our land and contribute to the health of our planet.
Our vineyard also benefits from the clean sea air of Cascades Bay, a small bay being a part of the much larger Norfolk Bay. This combined with the natural surrounds provide unique qualities to our grapes.
Our philosophy is simple: to care well for our vines to enable our winemaker to create wines that are a true reflection of the amazing place from which they come and that are enjoyable to drink… putting a smile on people’s faces. We believe that our vineyard's unique location, combined with our dedication and our winemaker’s expertise, allows us to produce wines that we and the Tasman Peninsula can be proud of.
The People
Our vineyard has been a labour of love that has included input and assistance from many family and friends and experts at various stages of the journey from the land to the bottle to our customers.
We believe that wine is more than just a drink; it is an art form that reflects the unique characteristics of the land, the climate, and the people who create it.
